Design Release Engineer - Intermediate

Description
- The Fuel System Design Release Engineer (DRE) will be responsible to design, develop and release fuel lines, fuel filler tubes and fuel evaporative systems. The Engineer will design systems to meet component and system functional objectives while meeting cost, weight and investment targets. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- The Engineer will be responsible for incorporating design practices, validating the system to the DVPR, and using tools such as DFMEA and function models to develop robust designs.
- The Engineer will be required to interact with suppliers, manufacturing plants, purchasing and cross-functional engineering groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university
- Demonstrated written/ verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills within a team environment
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, including ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with high attention to details
- Master of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university
- Experience with quality tools such as Reactive Problem Solving, DFSS, DFMEA, DVPR, and Function Models
- Experience in design, releasing and development of components/systems in automotive or other industries through the product lifecycle.
- Additional Must Haves: Onsite/ Remote Hybrid.
- The position does not require driving a company vehicle.
- Travel Required, 0-20% to support build or testing activities.
