Description
- The Facilities Maintenance Engineer - Intermediate will be responsible for the building and the facilities related preventative maintenance. The Facilities Maintenance Engineer – Intermediate will work with the facilities team on project upgrades, additions, new model, and non-new model requirements from concept through execution. This role will communicate these requirements to the skilled trades workforce and contractors alike to the meet daily objectives.
- Job responsibilities to include, but not limited to the following:
- Ensuring that machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime
- Conducting and overseeing maintenance process audits
- Undertaking planned maintenance
- Establishing different maintenance procedures and protocols
- Leading Total Maintenance System (TMS) activities as a coordinator
- Training staff on equipment operating and maintenance procedures
- Responding to major equipment breakdowns (at times, outside of regular working hours)
- Forecasting and strategic planning for system overhauls and upgrades, while taking into account long-term maintenance goals
- Procuring, testing, and commissioning specialist components, fixtures, or fittings
- Working with the Facilities Manager and other executives to manage budgets
- Setting and tracking maintenance KPI's
- Playing an active role in helping the organization set up and execute preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, or any other preferred maintenance program
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited University
- 3-5 years’ experience in commercial building maintenance
- Expectation to work 40+ hours per week including weekends and holidays when needed (the maintenance team currently share this work on a voluntary basis)
- Ability to communicate and present to all levels of Management
- Clear, concise, precise communication skills both oral and written
- Experience with MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel) and Google (Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Slides)
- Ability to lead piers and suppliers to achieve goals common goals
- Ability to adapt and thrive in the fast-paced automotive environment
- Candidate will possess knowledge and basic understanding of the following maintenance items in a commercial setting:
- Dynamometer maintenance
- Air Compressor
- Automated Building Systems
- Fuel Tank Systems
- Boiler maintenance
- Roof Maintenance
- Vehicle Hoist maintenance
- HVAC systems, Plumbing, Water Tower Systems
