Job Description:
- The Advanced Development Automated Driving team is actively searching for talent to fill open positions with individuals specializing in Automated Driving Domain Hardware. The selected candidate will be immersed in a hands-on role, working with state of the art technologies, in a field experiencing rapid year over year growth. This team and the selected candidates are responsible for developing the architecture, associated component level requirements, interfaces, hardware, state machines and failover/diagnostics to enable Highly Automated Driving functions at a level ready to be utilized as an "off the shelf" deployment into production vehicle platforms. This role will primarily focus on hardware, software, system, validation associated with Domain Controller.
- Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Integrate Domain controller into the organizations vehicles and electrical architectures
- Develop Functional Requirements based on Use Cases, Scenarios, and Operational Design Domain
- Support the efforts of adjacent teams to integrate Domain Controller, for example Software Integration, Networking, Systems Architecture, Body, etc.
- Author documentation that will be used for integration and sourcing of Domain Controller components (RFI/RFQ, PF, SOWs, etc.)
- Work closely with other teams to ensure a robust implementation
- Prototype Vehicle Support
- Provide support to internal teams working with Lidar to troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve performance and integration issues
- Data collection and analysis for KPI calculation, issue resolution, benchmarking
- Manage Domain Controller supplier and act as main organizations technical interface to these suppliers
- Work with Tier 1 & 2 supplier for ADAS/AD Component Development and delivery of Production Validated components on time
- Be responsible for timely delivery of Hardware samples for internal development
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge of electronics design, power management, high communication design
- Experience in EE architecture topologies, software architecture, safety MCU, SoCs
- Experience in thermal load, failure analysis on ECU level
- Ability to author System/Component level requirements
- Organization and follow-through
- Excellent ability to work in a team and within a complex organization.
- High sense of independence and self-responsibility.
- Good knowledge of English language.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field knowledge of Domain Hardware ECUs
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field knowledge of Domain Hardware ECUs
- Profound knowledge of ADAS and/or Autonomous Driving systems
- Strong knowledge of state-of-the-art hardware systems, software tools and algorithms for interfaces required for sensors, actuators, firmware development, in-vehicle bus architectures, in-vehicle CPU/GPU computing platforms
- Working level knowledge of Vehicle Bus (e.g. CAN, ETH) tools for data collection and analysis
- Deep expertise in creating safe and efficient system architectures and complex hardware-software systems including knowledge of testing
- Participation in several projects start through completion
- Experience managing automotive Tier 1 project relationships and sourcing hardware systems
- Experience in component and system integration, testing and verification on system and vehicle level
- Knowledge of applicable safety standards including ISO 26262, Euro NCAP, and other regulations, industry benchmarks and customer requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Engineering or higher
- Ability to think outside-the-box in high pressure situations

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently given minimal supervision/direction

- Tier1/OEM ADAS Component (Sensor or ECU) development experience
- Working level knowledge of vehicle bus (CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, etc.), diagnostics
